ImbakPrivacy policy

Imbak is made by Rupert Bulquerin, trading as Nexus Cloud, in the Philippines ("we"). This policy covers the Imbak app for Windows and this website. The short version: the app keeps your clipboard history on your computer and never sends it to us or anyone else.
The Imbak app
- Clipboard history stays on your PC. When recording is on, Imbak saves the text you copy to a database in your Windows user profile (
%APPDATA%\com.imbak.app). It is not uploaded, synced or shared. - Nothing is recorded until you agree. Recording starts only after you turn it on in the welcome screen. You can pause it, delete items, or clear your history at any time.
- Private copies are skipped. Imbak does not save clipboard data that an app marks as excluded from clipboard history, or data copied from apps you exclude. This depends on how each app uses the clipboard, so we can't guarantee it for every app.
- No analytics or tracking. The app contains no analytics, advertising or crash-reporting services.
- Diagnostics stay local. A small log file next to your history records events and errors to help with troubleshooting. It never contains what you copied. It is only shared if you choose to send it to us.
- Licences are checked offline. Imbak Pro licences are verified on your PC without contacting a server.
The history database is not encrypted by default; it is protected by your Windows account. Anyone who can sign in to your Windows account can read it.
This website
This site uses no cookies, analytics or third-party scripts, and loads its fonts from our own server. Like most web servers, ours keeps standard access logs (IP address, browser, page requested and time) for security and troubleshooting. These logs are kept for a limited time and are not used to identify or profile visitors.
Purchases
Imbak Pro is sold through Polar, which acts as our merchant of record. Polar processes your payment and billing details under its own privacy policy. We receive your name, email address, country and order details so we can deliver your licence and support you. We never see your full card details.
If you email us, we use your message and address only to reply and to keep a record of the conversation. If you ask to be told when Imbak launches, we will send that one email and nothing else.
Your rights
You can ask us what personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing imbak@rupertbulquerin.com. Your clipboard history is never held by us; you control it in the app.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date above. Significant changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
